Why Choose an Electric Bike to Visit the Verdon?
The region's relief is spectacular, which also means it can be very selective. E-biking is the magic formula to combine sport, sightseeing, and comfort.
Conquer the Elevation Without the Struggle: Around here, roads regularly feature slopes steeper than 8% or 10%. Thanks to your e-bike’s motor, you smooth out the effort. You can climb to the most beautiful viewpoints at your own pace, without ending the day exhausted, allowing you to fully enjoy the scenery instead of staring down at your handlebars.
An Eco-Friendly and Traffic-Free Solution: In high season, driving and parking around major hotspots (like the Point Sublime or Lake Sainte-Croix) can get complicated. Rolling on your e-bike, you can completely forget about parking hassles, breathe in the fresh air of Provence, and pull over whenever a viewpoint catches your eye.

Our Practical Advice for a Successful E-Bike Excursion
Tackling alpine terrain on an e-bike requires a bit of preparation. To ride in complete safety, keep these essential rules in mind:
- Manage Your Battery Intelligently: Steep climbs consume a lot of energy. If you stay in "Turbo" mode during the entire ascent, you risk running out of juice and finishing the loop purely on leg power (and e-bikes are heavy!). Use eco-modes on flat sections and take advantage of momentum on the downhills.:
- Bring Essential Safety Gear:
- - Helmets: Highly recommended for everyone, and legally mandatory for children under 12.
- - Lights and Visibility: The canyon roads include several tunnels. Reliable front and rear bike lights, along with high-visibility clothing, are absolutely vital to ensure motorists can see you in the darkness of the rock galleries.
- Water and Sun Protection: The sun shines intensely on the white limestone of Upper Provence. Never set off without a large water bottle and plenty of sunscreen.
