Trip Itinerary & Logistics

Preparation : Rendezvous at our private base in Castellane for a warm welcome and full professional equipment fitting.

Open directions to the Buena Vista Base 

Transfer : A 10-minute minibus drive to reach our launch site located in the hamlet of Chasteuil.

The Descent : An action-packed, deep-canyon run featuring 2.5 hours of active navigation. On the program: navigating technical rapids including the famous "La Dégoulinante" and the powerful "Le Solitaire", alongside optional cliff jumps and white water river swimming.

The Grand Final : An impressive and unforgettable arrival at the famous Point Sublime gateway, surrounded by vertical cliffs.

Final Team Effort : Landing inside this protected canyon area requires us to deflate the raft and carry the gear up the trail to our parked minibus. A brief physical effort rewarded by a legendary view!

Return Shuttle : A 30-minute minibus scenic ride back to our base in Castellane is fully included.
 

Important Info: EDF Dam Water Releases & Schedule

To navigate a raft on this section, the EDF dam water releases must be open. If the dam is closed, we take advantage of the lower water level to explore the inside of the Grand Canyon on foot—this is our famous Water Trekking (Rando Aqua) experience!

Strict Booking Note : This specific Chasteuil to Point Sublime run is only available in July and August, and exclusively during the afternoon.

Dam Schedule : Dams are generally open on Tuesdays and Fridays during July and August.

Backup Plan : Outside of these two high-season months or if the dam is closed, an outdoor adventure is always guaranteed if the sun is out! We can easily redirect your group to scenic spring runs on the Haut Verdon, the Daluis Gorge, Canyoning, or Packrafting.
