Description Canyoning : Canyoning - Gours du Ray

Natural Rock Slides and Emerald Swimming Holes

This specific canyon is highly popular for its "natural adventure playground" atmosphere. The river obstacles flow seamlessly into one another: customizable cliff jumps, smooth waterslides, and active river walking. It is the ultimate choice for those seeking a fresh, dynamic, and fun outdoor activity without heavy, technical vertical exposure.

The Gours du Ray is the perfect excursion for anyone wishing to discover canyoning with friends or family. Every participant will find their comfort zone, as the route does not present any major physical difficulties and all the main obstacles can easily be bypassed on foot.

The Technical Highlights : The route features a short 3-meter vertical drop followed by an angled 7-to-8-meter waterfall abseil. Because this main waterfall is inclined, it is not visually intimidating. Furthermore, if you happen to experience apprehension on the ropes, Alex can easily lower you down from below using a top-rope system (en moulinette).

The Little Extra : A stunning forested environment paired with exceptional water clarity makes this canyon an absolute invitation to swim and refresh during the beautiful warm season.
