Taking part in our trips or activities requires acceptance of the following terms and conditions..

Admission:

Buena Vista Rafting activities are open to all. It is mandatory to know how to swim, and to be in good physical condition. Age restrictions apply for certain disciplines.

Registration:

All participants must agree to these terms and conditions and to the health and safety information provided. For all group bookings, the leader is responsible for making all participants aware of these conditions..

Reservation:

All bookings are confirmed once Buena Vista Rafting has received the signed and completed booking form accompanied by a 30% deposit. For group reservations, if the final number of participants is less than initially booked, the leader must inform Buena Vista Rafting at least 48 hours before the activity date. Otherwise the full price will be charged.

Cancellation aside from Buena Vista Rafting:

For safety reasons, as a result of weather conditions or insufficient fitness levels in the group, Buena Vista Rafting reserves the right to modify, adapt or replace an activity with another. In the event of this happening, customers will not be eligible for a refund. Only the company and its guides are able to make trip alterations at any time.

Cancellation aside from participants:

In the event of one or more clients cancelling: We will refund the deposit if a letter (sent by recorded delivery) is received no later than 8 days before the activity start date. The deposit can be transferred to another date in the same year (subject to Buena Vista’s availability) on reception of a letter (sent recorded delivery) no later than 8 days before the activity start date. For all cancellations less than 48 hours before the activity, the deposit will not be refunded nor will the activity be postponed to a later date.

Service provided:

The trips, timings and distances are only given as a guide. They are an example of what we can offer but are not binding. Some white-water activities are dependent on the opening of the EDF dams: for half-day and full-day trips, please ring the day before to confirm.

A shuttle-bus service will be put in place for participants to return to the starting point (unless otherwise specified).

Classification of white water:

  • Class 1:  calm river with a weak current .
  • Class 2: mild rapids, noticeable waves.
  • Class 3: fast rapids, big waves.
  • Class 4:   large rapids with considerable drops.
  • Class 5: large, consecutive rapids with hazards.
  • Class 6: extreme sequence of dangerous rapids

Insurance:

Buena Vista Rafting has public liability insurance with MMA which is specific to leading white-water activities. No. 112024300. This insurance is included in the price.
